Crying(draft)

Pic ref. here

 Crying (Draft)

The first act
garnering immediate attention after being pat on the back

This is first thing doctor checks to see if we are alive
and then it sticks with us throughout life

We seem to be genetically wired for it
Adept from start without needing any training for it

The newborn/toddler gets all his/her work done
just by mastering this art and playing it again and again

Over the years the reasons change
from being hungry for food to plethora of reasons depending on age

I wonder what is the reason of crying
perhaps to seek attention or let go off pent up tension
its an admiration of realizing what we have or agony for what we seek to have

Children cry to get what they want
Crying out aloud on those they are around

They muscle their way by hook or crook
and most parents give up to keep them hooked

Adolescents cry in chase of their dreams
sulking up tears to strengthen the resolve within

What will you become is a big question ?
with plethora of marketing telling you this is your chosen destination

Young adults cry for love and friendship
as they realize they need to pay attention

for those in love not reciprocated
crying is an outlet for the void left by this realization

for those in love reciprocated
crying is an outlet to signal how badly they needed this attention

Married couples cry out of feeling neglected/ cheated
while those not married cry in search of not finding what they expected

Midlife folks cry for the bygone years
chasing target after target as life passed by and they lost there prime years

Those reaching retirement from work cry thinking what they will do next
as that's the life they lived day in and out without realizing someday it will come to an end

Those in retirement cry on feeling neglected / express their feeling again
Perhaps that's how the circle of life has played the game

Those who breathe their last
leave out lot of folks crying behind their back

Female seem to indulge more freely in this exercise
while males have hard time figuring out how does one cry

Watching an emotional film/ tv series brings out this held up emotion
and you wonder what struck as you watch in silence tears tricking down your eyes

Crying to some comes with ease and the moment they feel little hurt
while crying to some is an act they seldom perform in life

Is crying a negative or positive emotion ?
put me thinking it depends on the situation

Crying from seeing someone you admire/love after long on one end and
Crying in despair by feeling left all alone when someone left you whom you called soulmate on other end

Crying helps you keep sane
do practice it even if you feel shame
