So busy with our lives
We seldom get time to unwind
Standing in queue is one such occasion
You wonder how long it will take to get the attention
Reached passport office well ahead in time
But security guard halted the fast ride
Only allowed as per your time
With no convenience to rest while you wait outside
No concern on the age of those waiting
Everyone has to stand till the gates open as per their time
Kids, olders all alike , standing in line
And you wonder can't this be better organized
There is one queue to get inside
Followed by other queue to wait for your turn at the counter
There is some respite after entering inside
You see some chairs for those needing to rest out while waiting in line
You imagined tatkal would be fast
But with one counter everyone got aghast
Random strangers striking a conversation
Because their kids happen to be at the same junction
You wonder how come is it the case ?
One has chocolate and other whining she wants the same
Parents exchanging notes on parenting
Passing time while waiting
Kids being told to be nice and share
And they ask what I would get in return for my share
Some kids mingle and enjoy
While adults is hurry start acting like child
Who was ahead and who was behind
Becomes the trending topic for the rest in line
You wonder though the physical queue will end
The queue constructed in mind will keep piling up in your head
Scores of things to do
never relishing enough with what you do
Always something to improve or add further on
and the saga goes on.......
