The recent war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has left almost 400,000 people homeless with over 1000 + deaths of Gazans majority of which happen to be children and women. Now the latest
news of a gazan doctor who is highly respected in Israel lost his 3 daughters aged 20, 17 &13 in the same war. He has devoted his complete life to peace and medicine. His grief is inconsolable but he still has an optimism of saying “I hope that my children will be the last price.” Hamas is holding victory rallies as UN chief tours Gaza.... i wonder what victory have they achieved after having all this bloodshed. I sometimes wonder why good people have to suffer so much while many crooks live their complete life in luxurious world ( they are materialistically well off but i doubt if same is the case for being mentally sound and at peace). Many thoughts have capture mind . Is it because as human is an animal too and there is instinct for survival ..so only the strongest survives....so no matter what war will keep happening and accept tragedy as part of it. Then we have so many religions all essentially preaching us to be at harmony with each other but now it looks as the institutions formed to promote peace and harmony in humans are themselves becoming the very source of disrupting it. Has world become a better place to live in or worse off ? Or Is it as long as something does not impact us as individual directly or indirectly we are least bothered about it. Is this the correct way ? maybe it is...I don't have an answer. Recent article in ET highlighting a report of what kids are being taught in madarsas in Pakistan as per books prescribed by government teaching alphabets as A for Allah, B for Bandook(Gun) and J for Jihad was quite shocking. Is this a big propaganda by government body or they are least bothered themselves to do a check of what is being published under their own institutions or system itself has been taken over by fanatics. As per my view no religion is bad....its only people who made it look bad for their own selfish agenda. The tragedy of all this is many religions are earning a bad name.
