Amazon's Kindle
New gadget for book lovers. Biggest advantage is the light weight compared to carrying 4-5 books around. I dont know how far book lovers would be receptive to this method of reading. Looks to be promising though as per the promotional speeches. It took 3 years for Amazon to develop the same. Currently it is only available in USA.

Racing Indian Mobile Market
While reading an article on Economist online came across this figure. India is the worlds fastest growing mobile market. Looking back just around 7 years back the % increase in mobile connectivity is staggeringly high. Thanks to lowering of the regulations by the government and entry of many players into the market. When Reliance Communications created a world record by selling 1 million mobile phones within a week sometime back, it shook all other players in the market. Mobile connectivity has helped all and players like Reliance have helped it reach to a mass level by bringing the rates down to as low as Rs 700 (US $18). I got my first one Nokia 2100 for about Rs6500 (US $167) back in 2003. Another interesting comparison to see is the growth of wireless versus landline connections which have been there for decades.

A flight of the Pigeons
This book is from a well known Indian author Ruskin Bond. The book narrates a story of an English family trapped in the city of Sikandapur during the first revolt of 1857 to liberate India from British rule. Published in 1975 the story is about an obsession of a man(Javed) to marry one of the British woman, who he planned to kill during the revolt and instead falls passionately in love with one of the woman. Story also portrays the strength and courage of the girl's mother to keep her out of reach of Javed.Good read .A Movie based on the same story was released in 1978 in India and won many awards.

The Little Prince
Excellent read :). The book is one of the most famous in the world. It was written by a french aviator pilot (Antoine de Saint-Exupery) during World War II in his exile period in USA. I would recommend all to read it irrespective of the age.
Oh ya , word of caution, there is an introduction paragraph about the authors history, I dozed off 2-3 times while reading. Tends to be too detailed and does not hold interest. You should not form an impression that the story would be the same. I would recommend directly start from the story. Much better!
