First Hindi Movie in Singapore at Bedok...
Today watched RANG DE BASANTI on BEDOK cinema. Quite far off from home. All desi janta of Singapore had come up, including my fellow NUS classmates. Around 20-25 of us were there. The movie was quite good. Different concept altogeather. for more details visit site: http://www.rangdebasanti.net/.

27th Jan 2006-Chinese New Year Party
Venue: GUILD HOUSE, NUS
Had chinese new year party in the evening starting from 8 pm.All events were organized by the students and I must say that they did a very good job. The video of Chinese artists performing was awesome. Many good performances by the students also. The dress code of the evening was RED colour. Those who were not in the dress code were tied with Red ribbon as visible in the Autees right hand.
RED colour has great significance in chinese culture.It symbolizes celebration and luck.
An orange was handed to all towards the end of the event. Its considered to bring good luck on eating.

14th Jan Dinner Pics
Venue: Sachin, Balu and Prajits residence at Clementi.
Prajit explaining sthg to sachin, balu busy with his dearest buddy(laptop), and pramod utilizing time efficiently.
Everyone got the attention this time ... except one ...you know who. I am totally drenched out after badi and TT, sachin looks refreshed .
All with :-)) , as camera set on self timer mode.. my :-) was half way through when....... damn...anyways.

from morning till evening spent the day in writing 1 cover letter and modifying resume.
Internet utility really reflects here. Its overflowing with info on any topic. Sometimes you go in to find a solution on net ....and at end of it you get yourself more confused... or you just go off the other way , you find some interesting link other than the information you were looking for and thats the end .... one ends up doing just surfing and nothing in concrete.( I think its a good way to test how much you are focused on the current task. ) fortunately that was not the case this time when I searched for how to write a cover letter.
A thought propped up while I was doing the activity, "am I so dumb that it takes me so long to write a cover letter, doing MBA ...huh..., cant even write a cover letter in 4 hrs. " //This job is always very tiring for me, sending resumes and cover letters to all target companies//....I am hopeful it will improve by the end of MBA.
Anyways completed the task of sending mail for internship....... and then off to my favoraite activity...PLAYING.... played badi with Sachin, more people joined in later. Our Badminton group is increasing day by day. good news. I think bringing Badminton rackets to the class did the trick... agreeing with what Sachin mentioned. Also TT grp is also increasing.... surely going to have lot of sports activity this semester.......The Badi champions as of date are Sachin and Rabi :-)).
Went to sachins place after that to have dinner. Got some items from Ginza Plaza... had a grt time with dips, balu, prajit, sachin and pramod. Came back home around 12 a.m. and again glued to the net on laptop........

13th Jan 2006
As the phobia of writing blog is new for me... i just scanned other people blog on blogger.com and was amazed to see some amazing blogs posted... some interesting ones...

Huum so what next ,started blog and now stuck on 3rd day as what to write.It seems this new addiction is good as it is prompting me to think ... which I do rarely... also it seems it will revive my interests in reading books, also getting over with some dangerous addictions and turning into a human again from an owl at present:-)).
Some think(including me) that this chap writes as if he is writing dairy entries .... but thats what I could think of at present... hope this will not be the same for long....I intend to improve upon it as i write more often.

Going along very well so far as long as consistency in playing badminton is concerned. Slowly the group is increasing :-)). Todays class of Operations management was quite good. Played game for almost 2 hrs followed by a lecture by prof on the learnings of the game. Prof seems to be good, but cant say until next class when he actually starts teaching the concepts. So far good start for the semester...

December trip to Amravati, Paratwada and Gwalior
I travelled down during my 1st semester break back to India and then to my grandmothers place in Amravati. I also visited my Aunt at Paratwada. Thereafter I went to Gwalior to meet my Uncle and attend annual religious ceremony of Lord Dutt Maharaj.
Went to orange farms with my cousin in paratwada.
My cousins playing cricket with sincerity and dedication, reflecting love for the sport (place-Amravati, my mothers home town). :-))
My grandparents house in Gwalior(fathers hometown). It always gives me some nostalgic feeling whenever I visit.
First day of second semester
Well first day of the 2nd sem started on 11th Jan 2006. A wonderful kickstart for the new semester. Both the professors were very good. The first for Corporate Strategy emphasized on reading and justifying ones point of view while arguing. There was introduction to a simulation game which we will be playing for the complete semester. Havent got much detail.... will write as i get. Second lecture was on Leadership , the professor was very enthusiastic . We learned about some basic qualities of goood leadership like team coordination, listening to peoples opinions, developing mutual trust within team members and with the leader. In the evening just after the second class got over, everyone was looking out for forming groups for the modules for this semester. After I got over with that went to Tavern Pub to play billiards with Dips, Sachin and Hans. Good fun. After that we went to play badminton till 7 pm. Totally drenched out by then. Went to Dover aunty place to have dinner, met few Indians there. Some were working and others were doing PHD. Introduced ourselves to each other.Good talk. Came back home after that. Tried to read EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. In 10 minutes started feeling sleepy.. Good way to get sleep :-). Chatted with few batchmates on yahoo messenger and sideways started posting blogs from today. Its now 12.51 am though.... of to some more chatting with sis in US.
